Jennie was visited repeatedly and we may discover this pretty early on because on this episode, we begin, with hypnotic regression. Correct, this one is definitely allegedly true. Also true is the fact that humans were chased by dinosaurs. Did Jennie go face to face with a grey though? Sadly, this one does include someone being disturbed whilst watching over a child and someone may allegedly truthfully have part of an alien inserted inside of them. Allegedly. Truthfully. This one also has the characteristic of the most legitimate of alien abductions - lost time, babbyyyyyyy. The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe Fort Benning. Before we get to that, we have the giggles so apologies about that, you may want to skip 1 minutes 50 seconds in. Oopsies. Anyhow… Mystery surrounds Fort Benning - some, believe it to be the site of advanced military experimentation but others believe it to be the location of an allegedly true battle between a brave unit of human military and aliens. Private John was a brave, brave solider and would be up to either challenge - taking the bravest of action. If this one was an alien attack, what form of attack would the aliens choose though and would it involve their 4-5? If it was aliens, what is getting ‘slabbed’ and how will an honourable John cope? Can rats astral project other people? This one has a bit of everything - force fields, clones/doppelgängers, a missile fired at a UFO, even JAWS and in a roundabout kind of way, Kevin Smith. Or, was this a case of mass hysteria after military substance experimentation to see what certain drugs would do and how different soldiers would cope? Ultimately, this one may come down to whether John, is honourable and trustworthy… All that and more on this week’s file.

That marvellous all-timer video game was released on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System aka SNES in 1991 (Japan) and 1992 (North America and the United Kingdom/Europe). The music was composed by the legendary Kōji Kondō. We love to include little Easter eggs and pop culture references on the podcast and this is one of our favourite semi-recurring themes. There was also a segment from the Halo Theme as we discussed soldiers playing Halo. This theme was composed by Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori and was the theme from Bungie’s Halo: Combat Evolved and subsequent releases, with 343 Industries now at the helm for Microsoft and Xbox Game Studios.

The extraterrestrial, or today, paranormal comedy podcast where we finish off probing the worlds most famous pirate, Blackbeard (who isn’t an alien, but may be a ghost). Was Blackbeards life sufficient that his spirit, his ghost, was left behind? Or was it his passing that would both make Blackbeard a legend and leave behind unfinished business? Before we get there, we cover what happened to Blackbeard and Gentleman Pirate Steve Bonnet’s pirate partnership. Would it end in plunder or peril? As we get towards the end of this pirates tale, we discover whether Blackbeard would ever give up his pirates life and accept the Kings Pardon. Could a man like Blackbeard really settle down, marry and live the family life? Never trust a pirate! What would the governors do if Blackbeard didn’t settle down? Or even if he did. The governor of Virginia, Alexander Spotswood, was desperate for his man and breaking a little law here and there was just a price that would have to be paid. There’s a battle coming. When the time finally did come, what were Blackbeards real last words? This one has been a deep, deep investigation. All that and more on this week’s file. OH CROW’S COCK! May we just add, Sea of Thieves is available for FREE on Game Pass (though Kev brought the game day one). With a group of friends this game can give you as much fun as anything made in years, it is truly a joy. There are rumours that Greybeard can be found sailing the seas after one too many rums and will tuck, unbeknownst to other crews, before breaking out in to song during the tensest moments.

Again, we utilised some Sea of Thieves music in this one, composed by Robin Beanland with the game courtesy of Rare and Microsoft. Themes included ‘Becalmed’ (which has to be played when you sink your ship - them’s the rules), ’Summon the Megalodon’ and ‘Maiden Voyage.’ As stated in this episode, this truly is Kev’s favourite current game and probably in his top 3 of all time (jumbled alongside Super Metroid and Zelda’s Breath of the Wild and A Link to the Past - Kev pleads with you not to make him pick only 3). Kev adores Rare and sincerely hopes that they don’t mind the little snippets. There was also a tiny midi snippet from the Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody. This was a midi as we say, just as we discussed the movie but the original song deserves a shout out for helping many a pottery session turn sexual. Finally, there was a midi snippet of the Pirates of the Caribbean theme called He’s a Pirate, which as we said in the first Blackbeard episode was composed in 2003 by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer (though this was just a midi). The extraterrestrial comedy podcast where we probe a pirate legend from the Golden Age of Piracy, Blackbeard. Whilst we usually cover aliens, Kev stages an intervention in this episode to try to turn Granville’s souring, skeptical mood by regaling Mr Moonwalker with an actual true tale. A pirates life, if you will? Blackbeard, may have started his life as Edward Thatch before that surname was misspelt as Teach in a Newspaper, later becoming the most popular spelling of this pirates allegedly true name. Blackbeard, is believed to have begun his venture towards the pirate haven of Nassau, New Providence in the Bahamas with Benjamin Hornigold, forming the Pirates Republic before Gentleman Pirate Steve Bonnet, whom Moonwalker suspects he may be related to, landed in the lap of Blackbeard. We cover the pirate life of Blackbeard in detail as Blackbeard sets out to become legend. What were Blackbeard’s most daring deeds? Did Blackbeard stick matches in his hair and if so, did his head burn? We also debate pirate names, which by the way are difficult to come up with ‘on the spot’ - is Probe McButt-Smash even a pirates name? What about Captain Prick? Anyway… Was Blackbeard as fearsome as the legends make out? Were Blackbeard and/or his crew carrying sexually transmitted diseases and would this inspire Blackbeard to commit his most notorious and dastardly act? Kev’s favourite modern game is Sea Of Thieves (is BOTW modern?) so of course we also had to include some music from this wonderful, joyous game. Thank you Rare - Kev considers becoming a year one Pirate Legend among his greatest achievements in life. The themes we used included ‘Maiden Voyage’ and ‘Shipwrecks’ - this music is courtesy of Microsoft and they will probably make us take this down but we really wanted to include some pirate easter eggs and bring some attention to this amazing game at the same time. Special mention to Robin Beanland whom composed the game music and whom also had a hand in Donkey Kong Country and Conker’s Bad Fur Day back in the day; another two games around Kev’s personal top 10. “I, am, the Great Mighty Poo…” Of course, we had to include the theme tune to Pirates of the Caribbean too, entitled ‘He’s a Pirate’ which was composed in 2003 by Klaus Badelt and Hans Zimmer for Disney. Again, if Microsoft don’t have our butts and make us remove this, Disney certainly will but it simply felt wrong to do an episode on pirates without the famous pirate theme.
